The Wonder Wedge: Head, Shaft & Grip
This club head has been described as having a thousand, tiny, smooth, steel nubs... that literally grabs your ball and makes it spin! As you know, your traditional wedge has about 15 plain, dull, tired, old-fashioned grooves or scorelines, which haven’t changed in years. Our unique face design “makes the ball spin extremely well” AND from any spot on the entire face. This increases your shot-making options and guarantees spin-contact with the ball. The Loft/Bounce degrees are: Lob 60/10, Sand 56/12, Gap 52/08. It has a classic, proven, polished, blade-style shape, with a low center of gravity, and is supplemented with: weight-displacement, tuning-ports and vibration dampening. Each individual loft has its own unique sole design and grind for versatility. All are 4-way cambered and have varying dual-bounce angles for playability. The topline is relatively thin. It’s constructed of: 431 Stainless Steel, finely cast & milled, 63.5 lie angle, 305 gram head weight, .370 Hosel Bore, satin-chrome plating finish.
The shaft is the engine of a golf club, and we believe our Wonder Shaft is perfectly-tuned and integrated. We've tested and precision-fitted a powerful, stepped, steel shaft to compliment the clubhead’s overall design and performance. We wanted: tremendous feel at impact, a higher-trajectory, a better spinning ball-flight, a softer landing, and a perfect swing-weight. Our “Wedge-Flex” shaft (firmer than Regular, less than Stiff) delivers that. Some of its other Technical Specifications are: 35.5 inch playing length, 89 gram cut weight, 8 step, lower-mid kick/bend point, softer tip, .370 parallel, .600 Butt, steel, chrome-plated. Based on all of these playing characteristics, we call it "Wedge-Flex".
Our goal with this grip was to develop a more inviting connection to the club's head and shaft. We manufactured ours with the ideal rubber-composite and texture in it. It feels great to the touch and should enhance your shot-making confidence. Technically, it’s called “Mid-Size” in diameter (that’s +1/16” over Standard). It weighs 64 grams with a .600 core.
